Chapters of Life supports the community of historians and life writers. The workshops and conferences listed below may be of interest to you. Chapters of Life can present life-writing workshops that help people get started writing their memoirs, one story at a time. 12th Annual Conference in 2006
Sept. 21, 2005, Planning meeting
Portland, Oregon

Northwest region APH members are invited to join their colleagues for a networking meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, to start planning for the 12th Annual Conference, which will be held in Portland during the fall of 2006. Paula Yost, APH vice president for the past four years and conference hotel negotiator, will be in town visiting hotels. Please RSVP to Julie McDonald Zander if you plan to attend.

11th Annual Conference
November 2-6, 2005
Grand Rapids, Michigan

The theme this year is Furnishing Your Business with the Tools for Success. Julie McDonald Zander and Paula Slavens will be teaching a workshop at the conference on using trade shows to promote personal history businesses. New this year is a Personal Historian University for newcomers, a day-long retreat for advanced personal historians, and an evening set aside for regional meetings to build collaborations and networking.
